Until the fix is available in a 852 fixpack, the following is the workaround
Shutdown the client.
The user can go to C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.notes.dip directory and delete all the files under that directory.
Restart the client, this should clear the recent contacts and hence the bad addresses.
The fix is being aggressively backported to 852 and 802 fix packs.
